How to Dance?
i may not have the perfect dance moves but atleast i can dance and not act like some wanna be dancers..i juz keep tis tips in mind so dat i can dance not perfectly juzt nicely..
Realize that dancing is all about confidence. When you go out, remember you are there to have fun, and so is everyone else. No one is judging you on how you dance, and if they are then they probably aren't the sort of people worth worrying about. If your esteem is low, your body language will reflect this, so go out there and have fun.
Practice dancing whenever you have the chance. Unfortunately, confidence isn’t something you can easily fake on the dance floor. Build your confidence by dancing in the kitchen, in the bedroom—anywhere you feel comfortable. Not only will this help to improve your general fitness, but you'll start to feel more comfortable in your body. Watch yourself in a mirror to get an idea of what looks good and what doesn’t.
Get in shape. You don’t have to have a model’s body to look good dancing, but once you feel more comfortable with your body, you'll be able to move it in ways you never thought possible. If you look good, you’ll feel sexy, and the sexier you feel the better you look.
Study! Watch scenes from movies, TV shows or music videos and pay attention to what is going on. Some songs develop a particular dance to go along with them, and watching the video may be the best way to learn that dance. There are also a lot of standard moves that you’ll see time and time again. Pay attention and pick up on them. While watching TV doesn’t usually get you in better shape, if you practice dancing along with the videos, you can even accomplish step 3 in front of the tube.
Watch other dancers. If you’re not sure how to dance to a song, take your cues from other dancers. You don’t want to copy them exactly (unless it’s a standardized dance), but you can get some ideas.
Dance with a partner. Sure, you can have fun and look great dancing by yourself, but it can be even better to dance with someone. You’ll probably feel less awkward with a partner, and the two of you can follow and build on each other’s moves.
Lose yourself in the music. Let your body move naturally to the beats and rhythms. Dancing is about expressing yourself, but it’s not just about moving at random—it’s about expressing yourself through a particular song. Pay attention to the music and let it be your guide.
Improvise. To be perfectly honest, dancing isn’t really something that has to be learned; most people at the club just wing it. Be creative and have fun.
Be as wild as you want to be.
Smile. It attracts people, and if you are really bad, it will look like you are joking around and just having fun.
Tips
Take a risk. Thinking of doing a solo but not sure? Go for it! Think of the best that could happen: you could have a great time, others will admire your moves, and people will be wowed. If you mess up, that’s ok. Everyone has messed up before.
Even if you aren't the best dancer, you will still look better trying than not trying at all.
Don't forget to stretch. Try to stretch a little every day, and definitely do some stretching before you dance. If you’re limber, you’ll be more comfortable both mentally and physically.
Practice makes perfect, so here's one simple tip: Practice practice practice!
Warnings!
Alcohol does not help, so don't get drunk. Drunken dancing never looks good, and you'll end up feeling foolish. This point can be debated however if you are a usually reserved person as you tend to "loosen up" with a tipple or two.
Overly-enthusiastic moves may cause injury and/or embarrassment!
Good luck on dancing yeah..
